Many thanks to all those that helped make this possible. In particular, our DJ’s, Jakob and Alex. The profit from this was $400 and will go towards the library
upgrade.

Children from Wella Tasma’s music group who learn guitar, recorder, or flute performed at school on Wednesday 13th June. The concert for senior classes (Rooms 1,2,3) was at 10.00 a.m. and was held in the library, this was followed by the Junior classes concert at 10.20 a.m. It was terrific to see parents there watching this group in action. We were all hugely impressed with learning that is taking place amongst the musicians, well done to you all and a big ‘thumbs up’ to Wella for tutoring these children to such a high level. A video is being posted to this blog featuring songs from the concert over the next two days, we hope you enjoy it.

Our team went to the Northern Zone event and competed against runners from schools from Waihi to Bethleham. We did outstandingly well and probably had the best results for the size of our school.
Results: Year 5 – Girls 1st Tasmin Simpson, Year 4 – Girls 2nd Lorielle Chapman,
Year 4 – Boys 2nd Jack Wade, Year 6 – Boys 6th Norton Owen.
These runners now go to the Western Bay of Plenty event at Tauranga next Wednesday.
