Well done to all those who dressed in their loudest shirts last Friday. We all looked great and we raised $125.90 for The Hearing House.

I hope you have enjoyed celebrating your child’s achievements at home after viewing Year Books. Children and staff are very proud of the progress made toward out learning goals.  Our aim is to clearly present information about your child’s learning to you. If you have any requests or ideas, please let me know by emailing ehargreaves@waihi-east.school.nz your feedback is highly valued.

Congratulations to those students who received an invitation to Kool Kids afternoon. We are very proud of you. Tomorrow Constable Doris and Mark from ENERGIZE will be on site with bike safety in the morning and fun bike activities during Kool Kids. Come on down and join in the fun.

Congratulations and Good Luck to Reid who as part of the under 12 Waihi Miners Inline Hockey team is off to New Plymouth in the holidays to compete in the Nationals! This is an excellent achievement.

Camp 2010 is being discussed. Once a booking has been made we will let you know. I am sure a large number of parents would like to attend camp. February is a tricky month with many payments required. There is an opportunity to set up an automatic payment next term to help pay for this activity in advance. Camp fees must be paid for your child to participate. Sadly, some camp fees for this year are outstanding.

Have a restful break these holidays. Hopefully term 4 will bring good health after a nasty round of bugs and flu in the school. School opens again on Monday the 12th of October.
