Rise Above and Shine
We had a fantastic big breaky this morning. Thank you to all volunteers who helped with this. Sadly Anne-Marie is standing down from leading Breakfast club at the end of this year. If you would like to take over this role or help out one day a week, please let Emily know.
Next weeks Big Breakfast (Wed 9th Dec) has a Christmas theme. Extra special breaky food will be available for a gold coin donation. Children are welcome to perform during Big Breaky and Christmas prizes will be available. Menu; French toast, smoothies, spaghetti, scrambled egg, toast and cereal. Mmmmm!! All welcome.
During ‘Wheelie Day’ a group of Waihi East School BMX and Mountain Bike riders went to the Waihi Beach BMX track for some fun. Take a look at the video below to see us in action.
Constable Doris and Mark from ENERGIZE were at East School on Friday 25th September (Wheelie Day), to take people who brought bicycles to school through bike handling and road safety activities. Here are some photos from the sessions held on Friday morning.
School hats can be worn from now on as the days are starting to heat up. School uniform hats only. These can be bought at the office for $6. Hats are part of our uniform and are compulsory next term.
Well done to all those who dressed in their loudest shirts last Friday. We all looked great and we raised $125.90 for The Hearing House.
Come to school dressed in the loudest craziest shirt you can find with a gold coin donation. All money raised goes to the hearing house to support children with hearing disabilities.
Community members are bringing concerns about road safety to the Leadership Team. This includes children crossing roads without checking for other vehicles. If your child bikes to school please have a chat about road safety. We are following up here.
Room 3 have really enjoyed their time with Harold, check out some slides from our time in the Life Education caravan.
